2025-2026 Hockey Registration
Welcome to the 2025-2026 Willmar Hockey Season with Willmar Hockey.
This registration will allow you to provide contact information, sign consents and submit payment. Please read through each page carefully to ensure that all information is provided accurately. To complete registration through our secure site, please have your Debit, Visa, MasterCard, Discover account information available.

WHA REGISTRATION GUIDELINES
Step 1: Register with and obtain a USA hockey volunteer registration number for each parent. There is no fee for a volunteer registration. If a parent is a coach, they can submit their coach member confirmation number.
Also, register your player with USA Hockey. Select “Ice Player/Coach” to register as a coach or to register your hockey player. https://membership.usahockey.com/
Follow the directions provided by USA Hockey to complete the USA Hockey registration process.
Upon completion, print and retain copies of the registration confirmation pages.
Return to this page and proceed to step 2.
Step 2: Register online with WHA. All hockey participants must register online. There are several payment options available with our online registration. You may choose one of the following payment options:
-Pay in full
-Split dues into 3 equal amount installments.
-Split dues into 7 equal amount installments.
All dues are collected electronically on a pre-scheduled basis.
Step 3: Electronic Background Screening
The background screening is required by the association for its volunteers in the following roles: locker room monitors, team managers and coaches. Each parent needing a background check will need their own NGIN (SportsEngine) account to each register electronically for the background screening. The document below describes the steps that must be taken to register electronically for the background screening. **NOTE: background screenings are good for 2 years once completed. PARENTS/GUARDIANS are required to complete 30 hours of volunteer work for their 1 player and 40 hours if you have more than 1 player. Volunteer hours will be tracked and monitored using Dibs on the WHA website. A deposit check will be collected from each family at the fall parent meeting to ensure volunteer hour requirements are met.
** A copy of a State Certified Birth Certificate or current passport is required if your player is a 1st year player with USA Hockey **

Where
Where are practices and games typically held?
Example: Practices and home games are held at the RecPlex. Games may be played across the metro region.
Practices
When are practices and how often are they?
Example: Teams practice 2-3 times per week.
Games
How many games will they play? What days of the week?
Example: Teams will play 20-30 games over the course of the season and will usually fall on the weekends.
Jerseys
Each skater will be supplied with both home and away WHA jersey.
A $250 deposit per skater will be collected upon registration. This deposits will be returned at the end of the season once jerseys are turned in, in good condition.
Extra Costs
What costs beyond registration fees should be expected?
Example: Expect team managers to collect funds to cover tournament entry fees.
